Data source, counting and limitations

This is an independent visualization of the supplied institution statistics workbook, which identifies the NeurIPS official export as its source. The 26 September 2026 snapshot contains 9,006 poster records. The full export and individual paper PDFs have not been independently revalidated.

Each paper counts once for each associated institution. A collaborative paper can count toward several institutions. These are participation counts, not first-author counts, acceptance rates or an official ranking. Track, oral and spotlight distinctions are unavailable.

Each view shows at most 200 institutions. Ties at the cutoff are ordered alphabetically. Country editions are selected from the full source data. Missing affiliations, unresolved names and unassigned countries mean that smaller-country views are not exhaustive national lists.

China includes mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Countries follow institutional or corporate operational bases; multinational companies are not split by each author's location. Confirmed aliases are merged using paper-ID unions.
